Takagi Machinery Co. is established in Fuji-city, Shizuoka, Japan.
 
1952
Takagi Machinery Co. establishes a new subsidiary, Takagi Industrial Co. It is here where the first prototypes of a tankless water heater are designed and manufactured.
1963
Takagi develops its first automatic ignition system for a gas water heater allowing for the first time the ignition to be completely automated.
 
 
 
1970
Takagi Industrial Co. develops a revolutionary automatic gas control valve system.
 
1980
Marked a milestone in the tank-less water heater industry when Takagi Industrial Co. develops a computer modulating gas valve and safety system for its tankless water heaters.
 
1982
Takagi manufactures its first fully computerized controlled gas water heater.
   
1991
Takagi Industrial Co. develops its first multi-gas water heater system (T-M1) primarily designed to accommodate industrial applications.

1995
Takagi Industrial Co. USA, Inc (Takagi USA) is established and based in Tustin, California.

1997
Takagi USA releases a tankless water heater for the first time in the US market, the T-K1. Small in stature but certainly not small in output the T-K1 produced 5.3 gallons per minute.

Designed for residential or Comerical applications and standing only 24.5 inches, Takagi USA introduced the Mobius T-M1 which can produce an amazing 9.6 GPM.
 
2001
Takagi USA released its third model in its product line, the Flash T-K2, for the standard North American housing system.
 
2001
Understanding the needs of its customers, Takagi USA releases its fourth model, the TKD-20, designed for the more energy conscious owner.
   

2001
Marked another milestone in the history of Takagi as Takagi USA opened up its second office in Pennsylvania.

2002
Takagi USA expands its operations by leaps and bounds by moving into its current Irvine location and opening a Chicago office and a Canada office.

2003
Takagi USA releases its fifth unit, the T-K Jr. At only 20 inches tall, the baby of the Takagi line produces an amazing 5.8 GPM.

   

2004
Takagi USA proudly introduces the newest member T-K1S with high efficiency level, producing an amazing 7.2 GPM.

2004
By the end of 2004, Takagi USA proudly introduces T-H1 the biggest and the highest efficiency tankless water heater in the lineup. With over 95% efficiency, T-H1 produces an amazing 10.5 GPM.

2005
Takagi USA expands its operations by leaps and bounds by moving into a larger facility (approximately 31,000 square feet) located at 5 Whatney, Irvine, California 92618.

2006
Takagi USA expands its staff and continues developing new products.

2007
Takagi USA launches the T-K3 model, one of Takagi's smallest, most versatile and powerful residential units. This heater allows one to connect up to four units without the use of a control unit.

2007
Takagi USA releases its T-M199, a fully modulating gas fired on-demand water heater with sealed combustion (optional) power vented flue. This powerful unit can be used with or without recirculation system piping, hydronic systems, radiant floor heating, and combined domestic water and heating systems.

Takagi USA launches a Recess Box, the TK-RB01.

2007
